Stephen A. Smith Takes Aim At Biden, Dems Use Of ‘Lawfare’ Against Trump

Stephen A. Smith blasted President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party on Saturday, accusing them of invoking “the law” against former President Donald Trump.

Smith admitted he doesn’t think Trump “very well” and said former President Trump is the 2024 Republican presidential nominee, even though Biden and the Democratic Party have “used the legal system” to advance their “political agenda.” He said it was confirmed.

“Folks, we have a lot of work to do,” Smith said. “That’s not what I mean. I’m simply going to say this: Trump is kicking the Democratic Party… you know it. 91 charges, 4 indictments, 91 counts against him. He’s been impeached twice. And he still lost the Republican nomination. It was a no-brainer.”

“You can’t touch him. And now he’s thrown into this salvo. He said, ‘Hey, why don’t you come and beat me?’ to advance a political agenda. Don’t get involved with the law or take advantage of the legal system. Now come and defeat me. ‘That’s what he did,” Smith continued. “I play sports most of the time. Those are the words we want to hear, right?”(Related article: ‘Wink, wink, nod’: MSNBC legal analyst says there is ‘no intention’ to postpone Trump’s trial schedule)

“Do you know what his ultimate claim is? The Republican nomination. Because if he has all these things, why is he allowed to be the Republican nominee? I’m going to use that to say, “I must be innocent.” It’s them. That’s not me. ‘ And based on the numbers from the 2020 election, at least 74 million people will support him. What will happen to the more than 81 million people who once stood by Biden? Is it true that with the current state of American streets, they won’t show up to help defeat Trump? ” asked Smith. “I don’t know, I don’t know.”

Trump has been indicted four times and faces a total of 91 criminal charges. Nevertheless, the judge overseeing the Georgia election interference case against Trump and his co-defendants on Wednesday dismissed six charges. Trump was also impeached twice by the Senate and acquitted.
