Stephen A. Smith went viral on Friday after he started ranting about the New York Giants on “First Take.”
Smith claimed the Giants complained to ESPN about Elle Duncan's corner on Daniel Jones.
Pat Hanlon, the Giants' senior vice president of communications, took exception to Duncan's segment in a post on X.
However, the New York Post reported that no one from the Giants actually contacted ESPN about the corner.

“The New York Giants, please just shut up. They're a terrible organization. You won the Super Bowl in 2007. You won the Super Bowl in 2011. Other than that, since 2011. , that's 13 years. The Giants have been to the playoffs twice and won one playoff game,” Smith said.

During his rant, Duncan grinned and sipped from his mug when Smith came to his defense.

“It's mind-boggling that an ESPN personality would mock what Daniel Jones said,” Hanlon said.
“Tone-deaf given what has happened at that company over the past few years,” Hanlon wrote.
Duncan's segment criticizing Jones aired Thursday on “SportsCenter.”
