Stephen A. Smith’s Potential Presidential Run in 2028
Could Stephen A. Smith, the well-known ESPN commentator, emerge as a significant player in the 2028 presidential race? It’s an intriguing thought.
Marcellus Wylie, a fellow sportscaster, seems to think so. He stated on “Fearless” with Jason Whitlock, “I think he has what it takes. He really knows how to tap into people’s emotions.” Wylie also hinted at some connections Smith might have with influential figures.
But Wylie has his reservations about Smith. “I’m not interested in someone who panders,” he shared, indicating that he feels Smith might overdo it in that regard.
Wylie expressed a worry about the implications of Smith’s potential presidency. “We don’t need another leader pandering for votes. That could be damaging for everyone, especially for the people he claims to represent.”
Interestingly, Whitlock doesn’t see Smith aligning with the Democrats, even if some think he might. “He won’t run as a Democrat, I believe he’s looking at a Republican ticket,” he remarked, suggesting that conservative voices have recently shown more support for Smith and overlook some of his flaws.
“So, I’m betting he’ll enter as a Republican,” Whitlock added.
Wylie then teased, “I have some insights into the circles Smith is navigating. Let’s just say he’s connected to some major players within this conservative framework.”
“Just a heads-up,” he cautioned, “stay tuned.”
