“Billy, meet Steve Belichick. He resembles Jonah Hill.” That’s how someone introduced the North Carolina Tar Heels’ defensive coordinator, who had a rough outing in a 48-14 loss to TCU on Monday.
The online reactions compared him to the Oscar-nominated actor Hill, and honestly, the resemblance is striking—especially when you think back to Hill’s look in the 2016 film “War Dogs.”
However, it’s worth noting that while this photo shows Belichick with smooth hair, there’s actually a ponytail hidden in the back.
Belichick might want to take some notes on acting from Hill since the defense struggled, allowing a staggering 542 total yards and 258 rushing yards at an alarming 7.4 yards per carry.
Before joining UNC, he was the defensive coordinator at Washington University, leaving that position when his father, Bill Belichick, took the head coaching role. He also has experience with the Patriots during their Super Bowl successes, starting as an assistant in 2012 and transitioning to safety coaching from 2016 to 2019.
Both Belichicks have a lot to unpack as they try to figure out what went wrong during Monday’s game.
After the defeat, Bill commented, “They were clearly the better team tonight. They earned their win and did so convincingly.” He added, “They really took control, outplaying us on both sides of the line. Their skill players executed well.”
