Steve Cohen praises Mets fans for ‘positivity’ after Francisco Lindor ovations

Steve Cohen said he was happy to hear Mets fans loud and clear on Friday night.

During the Amazin’s 6-1 win over the Royals at Citi Field, fans cheered loudly as Francisco Lindor started the season hitting just .111 amid a severe slump.

Lindor also responded to the cheers, going 1-for-3 with a single, a walk, and an RBI, as the Mets won their second straight and sixth win in the last eight games.

“Thank you, Mets fans, for staying positive tonight. I know our players felt it,” Cohen wrote in X on Friday night.

Cohen saw Mets fans cheering for Lindor as the team returned to Citi Field last Saturday.
