Steve Tisch Addresses Epstein Controversy

Steve Tisch, co-owner of the New York Giants, has responded to controversy linked to newly released documents regarding Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes. In a statement issued through the team, Tisch clarified that he never visited Epstein’s notorious island.

“We were in touch briefly, sharing emails about, well, adult women, but we also discussed films, charity work, and investments. I never took him up on his invitation, and I’ve never set foot on his island. As we all know now, he was a terrible person, and I truly regret ever having any connection with him,” Tisch remarked.

The documents released by the Justice Department on Friday include more than 3 million items from the Epstein investigation, revealing email exchanges between Tisch and the convicted sex offender from April to June in 2013. Some of these emails touched on discussions about women.

Tisch holds about 45% ownership of the Giants and took over the team’s operations with co-owner John Mara in 2005, following his father’s purchase of a majority share in 1991.

Under their leadership, the Giants secured two Super Bowl victories and recently appointed John Harbaugh as the head coach.

Epstein was found dead in his Manhattan prison cell on August 10, 2019, in an incident ruled a suicide. He had faced significant charges related to sex trafficking of minors.
