Former Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.), a 2024 Republican presidential candidate, said Thursday on CNN’s “The Situation Room” that former President Donald Trump is “cowardly” by hiding behind “failed social media sites.” He said that people should stop becoming “persons”. Instead of arguing.
Christie said: “He hates it when people confront him and call him out for the shit he’s involved in. And I guess he had a bad night last night, probably some bad Chinese food or something. So, Wolf.” Well, at 11:30 at night, I was having a little bit of indigestion, so I decided to attack me. ”
He continued, “Good luck, Donald. By the way, if he had the courage, he would be on the debate stage. And he has something to say about me. Your social media sites, Stop hiding behind your failed social media sites and start confronting me directly. Show up. Stop being a coward.”
Christie added, “If I had his record, I wouldn’t want to argue with him either. He said he was going to build a big, beautiful wall all along the Mexican border. He built 52 miles in four years. He said Mexico was going to pay for it, but never did. He said he was going to repeal and replace Obamacare. He had a Republican Congress. couldn’t pull it off. That’s not a record to be proud of.”
He concluded: “He also installed Joe Biden as President of the United States. Many Republicans like me also oppose this, and we want to take back the White House. He faced me. I’m afraid to go on stage for the last time because I don’t want to. I’ve prepared him for debates in 2016, 2020, and he knows what it’s like. He doesn’t want the American people to see that. I do.”
