Donald Trump directly addressed Joe Biden at a press conference on Monday following a unanimous Supreme Court ruling that Colorado cannot disqualify Trump from appearing on the 2024 ballot.
“President Biden, number one is to de-weaponize. Fight for yourself,” Trump said at Mar-a-Lago. “Let’s stop using prosecutors and judges to corner our opponents and try to harm them. That’s how we win elections. Our country is much bigger than that. .”
In direct but measured remarks, President Trump followed up on the coordinated attacks against him by Biden, the U.S. Department of Justice and prosecutors in jurisdictions across the country, saying, “state, city, federal, They are all coordinated.”
“What everyone likes is [Alvin] Bragg, Letitia James, Fani [Willis]and deranged Jack Smith, what they’re supposed to do is fight violent crime,” he said.

Mr. Trump claimed that his rise in the polls was due to the public’s perception that the government was weaponizing him. “Public opinion polls show that my popularity is much higher than it was before the weaponization,” he said. “It’s being weaponized like never before. This is for third world countries, not us.”
Attention — Trump lawyer: ‘This is election interference.’ “This is Biden’s political law.”
He added: “Biden should repeal all of this, and frankly, it might work better if he did, because people would say, ‘Oh, that’s very reasonable.'” said.
President Trump said he wants to stick to his platform of growing the economy, fighting crime and restoring a secure border, and told Biden: “President Biden, you need President Trump to end the border crisis now.” “We have the authority to reinstate these policies and prevent a border crisis.” The number of illegal immigrants flooding into the United States is rapidly increasing.
President Trump praised the Supreme Court’s historic decision announced on the same day that only Congress can use the 14th Amendment’s “insurrection clause” to disqualify candidates from voting. The ruling overturns a 4-3 Colorado Supreme Court opinion in December that found constitutional provisions allow Colorado to ban Trump from appearing on the 2024 presidential election ballot. The ruling ends similar efforts in Maine, Illinois and other states. Trump will be removed from the ballot.
“Voters can immediately remove that person from the race, but courts shouldn’t do that. The Supreme Court has said it well,” he said.
Trump also discussed presidential immunity, days after the Supreme Court granted his request to rule on whether he is immune from prosecution on charges of trying to overturn the results of the 2020 election.
“If the president didn’t have total immunity, there would be no president, because no one in the office would often know what the right decision was or whether it was the wrong decision. “Because I don’t have the courage to judge,” he said.
But the court’s ruling earlier in the day prevailed, and President Trump celebrated it while maintaining the discipline of his recent campaign touting unity and optimism.
“Today is a very important day for America. I think it’s a very important day for freedom, and I think it’s a great day for this country,” he said, adding, “It’s a huge step toward unity.” .
