Storage Wars Star Leaves Behind Suicide Note
Recently released police documents indicate that Darrell Sheets, known from the show “Storage Wars,” left a suicide note before his passing on April 22 at the age of 67.
Authorities discovered a handwritten note in a black basket located in a bathroom closet close to where Sheets was found, as detailed in a report from the Lake Havasu Police Department. According to sources, the note expressed feelings of despair, stating, “I couldn’t take the Facebook bullying anymore, you bastard.” The handwriting appeared erratic, according to police.
Rene Nezoda, a co-star on “Storage Wars,” mentioned that she had also been subjected to online harassment, prompting an investigation into these incidents.
Sheets’ girlfriend recounted an argument she had with her son just prior to his death, which she attributed to “family drama.” She claimed that Sheets’ daughter-in-law had sent her a message suggesting that Sheets seemed suspicious and had taken some money.
In further discussions, his girlfriend remembered leaving after a heated exchange between Ms. Sheets and her son. She noted that Sheets expressed he didn’t want to be alone with his son and seemed quite sad after the confrontation.
While she acknowledged that he had been under significant stress leading up to his tragic end, she insisted he never hinted at suicidal thoughts.
Investigators reported that Sheets suffered from severe insomnia. The girlfriend recounted a moment where Sheets stood in the doorway of his office at night, telling her to “go back to bed” just before a single gunshot rang out. She immediately called 911. Sheets was discovered dead at her home in Arizona, and the medical examiner determined it a suicide.
