A Texas family called on brave souls to help as a tornado touched down near Hawley on Thursday.

Casey Lambert said she tried to protect her husband, Wes, and their two children as best they could as the house around them was torn to shreds, Fox reported. However, her son Lane was torn apart and thrown into a pile of rubble.
The mother said when she woke up to pick up her daughter Allie, Wes found Lane and came to pick her up. After a while, the family started running because the tornado was still nearby.
To the family’s great relief, storm chaser Freddie McKinney was tracking the tornado and broadcasting it on his YouTube channel.
When he parked near his family’s property, he saw them running towards his car and knew exactly what he had to do.

Lane had a large cut on his head and was bleeding, so McKinney drove as fast as he could to a nearby hospital.
Casey later said, “Freddie’s timing was a godsend.”
During an interview after the ordeal, Wes Said Big Country’s home page says that when it saw the tornado, “I told my wife, ‘Get ready.'” It’s coming. ‘After about a minute it was there. ”
The family is still recovering, and their grandmother, Leah Lambert, said they were “spinning around” in the house during the storm.
