Stormy Daniels says Trump should be jailed

Former adult film star Stormy Daniels said she believes former President Trump should be jailed and required to complete community service if he is convicted in a hush money criminal trial in New York.

Daniels spoke to the Sunday paper in his first interview since his conviction. mirror He spoke about Trump’s conviction and the fear he felt while testifying in front of the jury at his trial.

“I think he should have a prison sentence and community service – working with the less fortunate and being a volunteer punching bag at a women’s shelter,” Daniels told the UK-based news outlet.

Daniels added that while she doesn’t know what Trump’s specific punishment should be, it’s important that it’s tailored to Trump so he can learn effectively.

“I don’t know what the ruling is going to be or what Trump will understand,” she said. “If you have a child and you take away their electronic devices, if they’re artistically gifted, I don’t care. They’re just going to go color. But if you have a child who doesn’t want to go outside, you either have to ground them or take away their electronic devices or not let them have dessert, or whatever.”

“We have to find a punishment that not only fits the crime, but one that is fair and just and has an impact on the person. And in Trump’s case, no one knows what that is,” she added.

Trump was convicted of 34 felony counts of falsifying business records to cover up a scheme to keep Daniels quiet about her alleged affair with the former president, which was seen as a potential threat to Trump’s campaign in the weeks before the 2016 presidential election.

Daniels testified before the jury and, as part of her testimony, detailed her sexual relationship with the former president, an affair that Trump denies.

In a new interview, Daniels said she felt scared while testifying.

“It was very scary to stand in court with a jury watching, but I’m pleased that the court has shown what I wanted to prove I was telling the truth all along,” Daniels said.

“It’s not over for me,” she continued. “It will never be over for me. Trump may be guilty, but I still have to live with that legacy.”

The Hill has reached out to the Trump campaign for comment.
