Who knew Barbra Streisand could be so clueless? The Streisand Effect?
Ever since the superstar accidentally went viral in 2003 after trying to block the release of an aerial photo of her home, Babs has exemplified that internet-age principle: The more you prevent people from seeing something, the more they’ll want to see it.
This week, Streisand Calls for censorship of media outlets A New York Post article detailing President Joe Biden’s recent senior years, when he was seen loitering during the G7 summit.
“The New York Post is lying about President Biden and other media should not spread their disinformation,” Streisand wrote to her more than 800,000 followers on X.
We’ve already seen some journalists “fact-checking” Biden’s pacing and onstage stiffness at a recent Hollywood fundraiser with George Clooney and Julia Roberts. Perhaps such references will simply prompt people to seek out the original footage and draw their own conclusions.
How could she not have expected that?
Seinfeld Beats Up Hamas Saboteur
Jerry has done it again.
The Seinfeld comedian genius is not political on or off stage, but he couldn’t stand by and watch Hamas slaughter innocent Israelis while foolish protesters yell terrorist slogans.
This pro-Israel activism infuriated the usual suspects who attended the comedian’s shows to berate him, but these fools forgot that they were attacking a legend who championed truth and humor.
Seinfeld’s latest scathing blow came in Sydney, and Seinfeld let it slide.
“Jewish comedians are the ones we need to get. They’re the ones doing it all!” he continued. “Yeah, come on, keep going! They’ll start punching you in about three seconds, so we want to bring out all your talent so we can all learn from you.”
That’s better than any university administrator or Democratic politician (except Senator John Fetterman) has ever said on the subject. And surely there is something deeply wrong with this…
Mel Gibson is not “too old for this”
Danny Glover’s famous line from the 1987 film Lethal Weapon still makes us smile.
“I’m getting too old for this,” Sergeant Murtaugh complains after meeting Mel Gibson’s Sergeant Riggs. Just imagine what he’ll say in the upcoming sequel.
Yes, we’ve already seen three films in the Lethal series, but Gibson promises that a fifth movie is still in the works, despite endless delays. “Inspire Me” Podcast.
“Richard Donner, who flew the other four flags, has sadly passed away. He was a good friend of mine. He asked me to fly this flag back so it would be an honour to do that.”
Glover turns 78 next month. Gibson is 68. It’s clear that the writers will work along those lines in some way, which will make us all feel a lot older…
The moment I thought it was safe to put up with Jon Stewart
You never know which Jon Stewart you’re going to see these days.
Every now and then, there’s a comedian who’s clever and sassy and manages to be both. To be honest, that’s pretty rare. And he An inconvenient truthI just hope he has regained his comedic spirit.
And this week’s version claims that President Donald Trump is just as troubled by aging as President Joe Biden.
Evidence? Trump got his cognitive therapist’s last name wrong: “Jackson,” not “Johnson.”
Stop printing!
Meanwhile Biden8.1 is failing on a daily basis. Glitches. Freezes. A whole bunch of words. Have they tried unplugging him and plugging him back in?
At some point Stewart will have to choose a team – reality or propaganda. It seems he’s still pondering his options…
“Inside Out” sequel about Disney’s decline is not awake
Disney has a blockbuster on their hands. Seriously.
The studio has recently become synonymous with bad movies, including “Lightyear,” “Strange World,” “The Haunted Mansion,” “Indiana Jones: I’m Too Old for This” and “The Marvels.”
Inside Out 2, the sequel to Disney’s hit 2015 film, grossed an astounding $154 million in its opening weekend.
What has changed?
The sequel, for starters, drops the culture-war shenanigans. There are no woke asides or lectures. The sequel still relies on the charm of the original. Goodwill matters. Always.
So will the Disney team learn any lessons from Inside Out 2? Or will the future of the Mouse House depend on those who unleash upon us the “Acolytes” who work beyond their wits?
Yoda said, “Failure is the greatest teacher.”
