Gayle King, a journalist and longtime friend of media star Oprah Winfrey, said Tuesday that Winfrey had been hospitalized with a severe case of gastroenteritis.
King revealed on Tuesday that Winfrey was scheduled to appear on her show. CBS Morning, However, I had to cancel due to being hospitalized.
“She had a gastroenteritis type of illness. She had something coming out of both ends,” King said. “I won’t go into too much detail, but needless to say, she ended up in the hospital, she got so dehydrated she had to be put on an IV. It was very serious.”
