Stunning video shows toddlers in diapers stranded on highway after being ejected during crash

Shocking video shows the moment two diapered toddlers were left terrified and stranded on a Texas highway after being thrown from a car during a massive crash in the state.

Footage captured by a bystander shows two children wearing only diapers lying stunned in the middle of the I-10 East Freeway in Houston after being thrown from their father’s Jeep during a crash on Sunday.

The father’s overturned Jeep and a wrecked white sedan can be seen in the background, with debris strewn across the highway and around the two children, ages 1 and 4.

In the video, the 4-year-old is seen on his hands and knees while the younger child is standing and being tended to by the man, before the father runs across the highway and picks up the child.

It is unclear if they were restrained in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

“Officers responded to a serious crash in the main lanes of the East Freeway in Freeport. Two vehicles collided and one of the vehicles rolled several times and was thrown from the vehicle,” Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez wrote on X.

Both children were last reported to be in stable condition. Fox 26 HoustonThe Harris County Sheriff’s Office reports that no occupants of the second vehicle reported any injuries and that the incident remains under investigation.

Victor Cordova, who filmed the aftermath of the accident, said he initially feared the worst.

“I thought they were really gone. I thought they were dead,” he told KTRK-TV in Houston.

He said he recorded the incident as a warning to other parents to keep their children locked in their cars.

“It’s important for parents, for anybody, even if they’re only going a short distance, to be aware, to make sure they’re keeping their kids safe,” Cordova said.
