These subway surfers rode the rain waves.
A video has gone viral of two goofy subway surfers riding on the 7 train in Queens during heavy rain over the weekend.
The video, taken on Saturday, just days before Tuesday’s heavy rains that caused flash flooding across New York, shows the two daredevils standing on a city-bound train passing through the Lowry Street-40th Street station in Sunnyside.
The video also shows Yahoo jumping around.
“No NYC kids are a different breed, sorry,” the original post was tagged.
The soaking wet stunt left many online viewers unimpressed, who are aware of the inherent dangers of subway surfing.
“Get a coffin ready,” one person posted.
Subway surfing has become an unfortunate trend among young people in many cities who are risking their lives, inspired by viral videos on Instagram and TikTok.
Police say a 14-year-old boy riding on the same platform 7 train as the Storm Baka passengers was injured when he hit his head on a beam in June, but miraculously survived.
Another 14-year-old boy also suffered bad luck in January when police said he fell from an F train in Brooklyn and was hit by an oncoming train.
