Subway to bring back discounted footlong sandwiches

Subway is trying to appeal to value-seeking consumers by reintroducing the $6.99 sandwich deal.

The sandwich chain said Thursday that the deal is reviving in the US due to limited hours starting Friday.

Customers are offering “any footing on the subway menu” at participating restaurants nationwide at a price of $6.99.

Subway customers must plug in the chain's app or website (699fl) to the promo code “699fl” to take advantage of the new discount.

It's coming as many fast food customers continue to feel that they're narrowing down to their wallets from high inflation.

“People keep looking at spending, but they don't want to sacrifice the taste of quality, quantity, or value when they eat while they're out,” Doug Fry, the North American president of the metro, said in a statement.

Last year, quick service chains such as Subway, McDonald's, Taco Bell and Burger King launched massive trading and promotions for consumers who have retook spending and visiting fast food restaurants.
