Sudiksha Konanki’s family still fears missing student may have been kidnapped

The family of Suddiksha Konanki, a missing University of Pittsburgh student, fears that she could be accused of in the Dominican Republic.

Local authorities suggest that a 20-year-old ready-made student likely drowned after plunging into the sea early on Thursday while he was on spring break with friends at the RIU Republic Resort in Punta Cana.

However, a complaint seeking to step up search efforts said, “It is possible that Sudhiksha has owned, but there is growing suspicion that it may be a crime, particularly a lunatic.” WTOP reported Monday.

“In four days, if she were underwater, she would probably be scattered across the coast.” I told the outlet.

“She cannot be found, so I ask her to investigate multiple options, such as invitations and aiding.”

Dad flew to Punta Cana from his home in Virginia with his wife and two family friends to find his daughter missing.

They filed criminal charges with Dominican authorities that urged Dominican authorities to take immediate action to investigate not only the possibility of accidental drowsing, but also the possibility of a lure or foul play.

“Her belongings, including personal items like her cell phone and wallet, were left with her friends. It's unusual because she always had a phone with her,” the complaint said.

Sudhiksha, a friend, “other people I met at the resort” went to the beach around 4am.

“After that, her friend came back a while later and didn't show up from the beach because my daughter didn't come back,” her father said.

Conanki and others were found on surveillance footage near the beach just before she went missing.

Resort officials said her friend reported a loss of failure around 4pm on Thursday, about 12 hours after she was last seen, when her friend was not in her room.

“They used helicopters and other tools to search. They also searched in nearby bays, bushes and trees. They went through the same area many times,” her suffering father told CNN.

Along with the Indian Embassy in the Dominican Republic, the agency at Conanki, Virginia's home is assisting in the search. Conanki is an Indian citizen.
