President Trump continued to tackle the topic of deportation throughout the week as Democrats opposed the removal of Kilmer Abrego Garcia.
In March, Abrego Garcia, who lived with his wife in Maryland, was sent to the infamous Centre for Terrorist Confinement (CECOT) in El Salvador.
Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D) will visit Salvadora national Abrego Garcia for a wellness check on Thursday and will be updating his condition on several Sunday shows this week. Democrats will appear in all five major cable networks to discuss travel to Central America’s nations.
Abrego Garcia illegally moved to us in 2019 before being granted the status of “withholding tax for removal.”
Since then, Republicans have questioned the legitimacy of his residence in the United States, claiming he has been linked to the MS-13 street gang, which both Abrego Garcia, his wife and lawyers have denied.
During the oval Monday presser, Trump doubled his administration’s decision to deport him, saying there’s no chance he’ll be released. His comments came with President Naibe Buquere of Salvador. He also said he would not help promote Abrego Garcia’s release.
The statements from the two leaders came after a Supreme Court ruling in favor of a lower court order directing the Trump administration to “promote” the return of his Maryland father.
All this is when Trump pledged to implement the biggest deportation of the US story on the campaign trail and signed several executive orders since January calling for immigration to be cracked down on immigrants. Border Emperor Tom Homan will deal with these efforts when he appears on ABC’s “this week.”
Other administrative staff sitting at this weekend’s talk show include Environmental Protection Agency administrator Lee Zeldin and Interior Secretary Doug Burgham. He is likely to promote the administration’s efforts to reduce the size and scope of the federal government by cutting several regulations and reducing spending.
Democrats pushed back many of these actions and denounced the Trump administration to revoke research grants related to the effects of climate change and environmental pollution.
Several Democrats, including House minority leader Hakeem Jeffries (NY) and Sen. Amy Klobuchar (MN), are expected to repeat these criticisms of the Trump administration and its policies on Sunday.
Massachusetts Governor Maurahealy (D) is also taking part in CBS’s “Face the Nation.” Here, the emphasis may be placed on the battle with the Trump administration over Harvard’s federal funds.
All of these topics and more will be explored at this Sunday show.
