Sunjay Kapur shares a smile with a friend in the last photo taken just before his tragic bee sting at 53.

The last image of billionaire businessman Sunjay Kapur was captured just moments before he participated in a Polo match, during which it tragically emerged that he had fatally swallowed a bee.

Kapur, a close friend of Prince William and chairman of Global Car Parts giant Sonacom Star, passed away from a heart attack on June 12th at a Polo Field in Windsor, England, at the age of 53.

Before entering the field, Kapoor took a photograph with Jaysal Singh, who captained the Polo team Sujang Indian Tigers for the highly regarded Queens Cup subsidiary final.

“We sadly lost him on the field a few days ago,” an Instagram post stated.

The post also noted that Singh would first stand with the team and then step back to honor his friend.

“Our captain and patron, Jaysal Singh, will stand with the team to observe a minute of silence in memory of his dear friend Sanjay, and then sit down as a mark of respect.”

According to reports, Kapoor’s final moments were linked to an anaphylactic shock after being stung by a bee near his mouth, leading to a fatal heart stoppage.

“This photo of Sunjay and Jaisal was taken a few days ago before they played in the semi-finals,” the post continued.

“Rest in peace, Sunjay. Your unwavering enthusiasm and support for the Polo community will never be forgotten,” was the heartfelt message shared by his team, Aureus, on social media after his passing.

“The entire team is in shock,” they wrote. “Sunjay, you were the heartbeat of our yellow team, a true inspiration, and your legacy will always remain.”

At the time of his death, Kapoor was competing for the esteemed security guard polo club in Windsor.

With a net worth estimated at $1.2 billion, he participated in exclusive matches across the UK and played alongside members of the Royal Family, including the Prince of Wales.

Earlier this week, reports surfaced revealing that the devoted polo player, who also held US citizenship, uttered, “I swallowed something!” in his final moments.

Kapoor is survived by his wife, Priya Sachdev, as well as his son Azarias and two children, Samaira and Kian, from his previous marriage to Bollywood star Karisma Kapoor.
