Super Bowl Set for Las Vegas in 2029
Allegiant Stadium will once again be the venue for the Super Bowl, as the NFL announced on Tuesday that Las Vegas will host the big game in 2029.
This decision came after a vote among NFL owners in Phoenix on Monday. It hasn’t been long since the Kansas City Chiefs triumphed over the San Francisco 49ers in overtime at Allegiant, claiming the Lombardi Trophy in 2024.
“We’re thrilled to bring the Super Bowl back to Las Vegas,” said Commissioner Roger Goodell. He highlighted the anticipation of offering fans another memorable experience in this thriving sports and entertainment hub. “Super Bowl XV showcased the energy and warmth this city contributes to a top-tier event, and we are eager to collaborate with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Raiders, and the local community to enhance the experience further this time.”
Mark Davis, owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, reflected on the last Super Bowl held at Allegiant Stadium, saying it “set a high bar.” He acknowledged this achievement as a combined success of the Raiders, the LVVCA, civic leaders, and the community. “We are dedicated to elevating the experience even higher for Super Bowl 11,” Davis stated.
Las Vegas has made a name for itself by hosting numerous significant sporting events. Looking ahead to Super Bowl XVIII, the College Football Playoff National Championship will take place at Allegiant Stadium in 2027, followed by the Final Four in 2028. The Athletics are also slated to begin their games at the new Las Vegas Stadium in 2028.
