Fan Arrested for Throwing Objects During WNBA Game

The WNBA announced on Saturday that a fan was taken into custody for throwing adult toys onto the court during a game earlier this week.

The league emphasized that anyone who tosses items onto the court will be ejected from the arena and face a minimum ban of one year.

This incident occurred during the fourth quarter of Tuesday’s game, where the Dream fell to their opponents, 77-75. A lime green sex toy was among the objects thrown onto the court by fans.

Officials quickly removed the inappropriate object from the court, with police officers assisting in the removal.

“The safety and satisfaction of everyone in our arenas is our league’s top priority. Any objects on the court or in the seating area can be a safety hazard for players, officials, and fans,” the league stated. “Fans who deliberately throw items onto the court, in accordance with WNBA Arena security protocols, will face an immediate one-year ban, along with potential arrest and legal action by local authorities.”

A similar occurrence took place during a game between the Valkyrie and Sky on Friday, during which the same type of object was thrown in the third quarter.

It remains unclear if the fan involved in this incident faced any consequences.

WNBA players have reacted to these incidents, urging fans to reconsider their actions. Sky Center’s Elizabeth Williams expressed her frustration, saying, “It’s very rude. I don’t really see the point of that. It’s quite immature. Anyone doing it needs to grow up.”

Isabelle Harrison from the Liberty took to social media, calling for better security measures at the arena, writing, “Arena security?! Hello??!”
