Tiger Woods’ Recent Video Sparks Concern Among Fans

Tiger Woods has kept a low profile since his DUI arrest back in March, but a recently shared video message has caught the attention of fans, some of whom are feeling a bit worried about him.

The footage, which was pre-recorded for former professional golfer Notah Begay during the Payne Stewart Award ceremony, featured Woods congratulating Begay on his impressive journey in the sport. “You first came into my life when I was 11 years old, playing in the junior world, and you came to watch me play. Our friendship started there and, well, it never really ended,” Woods shared in the clip. He went on to highlight Begay’s contributions beyond golf, mentioning, “I know you’ve won four times on the tour and participated in the President’s Cup. But seeing your impact on your local Native American communities, helping over 80,000 youths and their families—that’s absolutely incredible. What a fantastic job at the sports complex in San Felipe.”

The Payne Stewart Award honors a professional golfer’s character, sportsmanship, and philanthropy, making it a significant accolade for Begay.

“You’ve done an amazing job,” Woods continued, emphasizing the importance of recognizing Begay’s efforts. “I think more people should really appreciate what you’ve done for the tribal lands. There are so many folks out there struggling, and you’re working hard to raise their hopes and enable them to achieve more in life.”

Woods concluded with a personal touch, expressing gratitude: “Thank you for coming to see me play, for igniting our friendship, and I love you, dude.”

While his message was undoubtedly heartfelt, viewers on social media expressed concern about Woods’ appearance in the video. One comment noted, “Geez, Tiger doesn’t look so good,” referring to the 50-year-old’s new facial hair. Another user remarked, “He looks a shell of his former self sadly.”

However, some supporters defended him, with a comment stating, “He looks normal. Hopefully off the steroids and painkillers.” Recently, Woods had been involved in another serious incident—a rollover car crash in March on Jupiter Island, Florida. Following that incident, he faced DUI charges, with law enforcement allegedly finding opioid pills in his possession.

After the incident made headlines, Woods was allowed to leave for rehabilitation in Switzerland in April. Since returning in May, he has remained quite private until his recent appearance for Begay.

Prior to this, Woods made his first public return at a press conference to introduce PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp, where he expressed it as a “privilege” to be involved with the Tour’s Future Competition Committee.

As of now, Woods is scheduled to appear in court for his DUI on September 8.
