Nashville, Tennessee (WKRNMore) — A newly released video shows the moment the shooter broke into a Nashville school on Monday.
Metro Nashville Police Department Surveillance video released Monday night of the shooting at The Covenant School in Greenhills.
Seven people, including the suspect, were killed in the shooting.archer is Identified as Audrey Hale, 28.
Nine-year-old Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs and William Kinney were among the students killed in the shooting, according to subway police.
Three staff members have also been identified as murdered: Katherine Koons (60), Cynthia Peek and Mike Hill (both 61).
The shooting began at 10:13 a.m., with Hale firing from a side door of the school building and moving from the first floor to the second floor, firing multiple shots, according to subway police.
Police reported that two officers entered the building and ran in the direction of the gunshots. Met Hale on the second floor of the school and shot the suspect.
By 10:27 am, police announced Hale was dead.
Hale was reportedly armed Equipped with 2 assault rifles and 1 pistol.




Investigators also searched Hale’s home and found a detailed map of the school and a “manifesto,” police said.
The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, ATF Nashville, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and Federal Bureau of Investigation are all on the scene and assisting with the investigation.
