Susan Lucci is a fan of the Golden Bachelor series, but she’s not ready for a leading role just yet.
In an interview with People magazine, the famous actress revealed that she has been approached to appear on the upcoming debut season of “The Golden Bachelorette.”
“I think they contacted my publicist, but it wasn’t directed at me,” Lucci told the outlet. “I watched ‘The Golden Bachelor.’ I really enjoyed watching ‘The Golden Bachelor.’ It’s a new addiction for me.”

Lucci explained that her mother, Janet Lucci, loved the show but wasn’t interested in the series until “a few seasons ago,” when Susan’s assistant encouraged her to give “The Bachelor” a watch.

“My assistant said she was going to go home and watch ‘The Bachelor’ with her daughters,” Lucci told the outlet. “She was like, ‘This is so funny,’ so I watched it. I first watched it one night a few seasons ago. I was immediately hooked. I was intrigued. I wanted to know more about these people.”

Despite the reality TV series being her “new guilty pleasure,” Susan said, “I didn’t pursue it.” [it] When they called my publicist and asked if I was interested.

Lucci, 77, was married to Helmut Huber from 1969 to 2022. Huber, an Austrian television producer and author, died suddenly in 2022 after suffering a stroke. He was 84 years old.

People magazine noted that ABC and Warner Bros. don’t comment on casting matters, and sources told the magazine that Lucci wasn’t offered the role of “Golden Bachelorette.”
A representative for Ruch did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
