Suspect Charged in Shooting Death of NC Officer Michael Horan

Tarrell Isaac McMillian was arrested and charged with murder in the December 23, 2024 shooting death of police officer Michael Horan in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Horan responded to a call about a man with a gun at the Food Lion grocery store around 11 a.m. Monday morning, Breitbart News reported. Horan confronted the man, a scuffle ensued, and Horan was shot and killed.

fox 8 reported McMillian, 34, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in Horan's death.

McMillian was arrested around 1 p.m. following a police pursuit and “is currently being held in the Guilford County Jail without bond.”

WFMY noticed Other charges related to the vehicle pursuit are also pending against McMillian.

The State Bureau of Investigation said McMillian is suspected of shooting Horan before Horan pulled out a gun.
