Suspect in Boulder attack had a background in healthcare prior to firebombing pro-Israel rally

In Boulder, Colorado, a disturbing incident unfolded where twelve individuals were injured during a pro-Israel rally, allegedly involving Mohamed Sabri Soliman, a 45-year-old who had recently moved to the U.S. He arrived in August 2022 on a non-immigrant visa, and though it expired in February 2023, he continued residing in the country and eventually received a work visa valid until March 2024.

Soliman had been employed in the accounting department at Veros Health, a Denver-area medical practice, from May to August 2023. A spokesperson confirmed that he went through the appropriate hiring processes and was validly employed at that time.

However, after his work visa expired, he became an undocumented immigrant. Reports indicate that he also took up ride-sharing work with Uber, which he started in the spring of 2023. Neighbors described him as working very hard and often not at home.

During the attack, Soliman allegedly used incendiary devices to target pro-Israel demonstrators at the rally, which was organized to bring awareness to Israeli hostages held in Gaza. Witnesses claimed he yelled anti-Israel slogans during the assault.

He has since been charged with a range of serious offenses, including first-degree murder and hate crimes. Federal complaints detail his intent, indicating he drove to Boulder with materials to cause harm to attendees and explicitly stated he wanted “to kill all the Zionists.”

The attack left multiple victims injured, one of whom was a Holocaust survivor. Notably, Soliman reportedly expressed a desire to repeat his actions, highlighting concerns around his motivations and future intentions.

As he faces serious charges both federally and at the state level, the case has sparked significant public interest and concern regarding immigration status and security.
