Man Captured After Multi-County Manhunt
Austin Robert Drummond, a 28-year-old man, has been arrested in Jackson, Tennessee, following a week-long manhunt. He is suspected of murdering four individuals: James M. Wilson, 21; Adriana Williams, 20; Courtney Rose, 38; and Braydon Williams.
The search for Drummond intensified after the body of a lifeless infant was discovered on July 29, left in a car seat outside a house. Neighbors spotted the scene and promptly called emergency services.
Local law enforcement released images of the baby on social media, asking the public for assistance in identifying the child. This outreach eventually led them to uncover the identities of the parents and, subsequently, the bodies of the four victims.
On social media, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation confirmed Drummond’s capture.
Surveillance footage from the Jackson Police Department revealed that he had been seen wearing camouflage and carrying a rifle shortly before his arrest.
Drummond is now facing ten charges, including first-degree murder and possession of a firearm as a felon. Additionally, authorities have apprehended 23-year-old Dearra Sanders, who is accused of aiding Drummond while he was evading police. Two other men, Tanaka Brown, 29, and Giovonte Thomas, 29, were also charged with being accessories to first-degree murder.
Despite these developments, officials have yet to disclose the cause of death for the victims or any potential motives behind the crimes.
