New York City police are searching for a Bronx rape suspect who put a belt around a woman’s neck, strangled her, rendered her unconscious, and then dragged her out onto a dark street.
From there, the video shows him looking up and down the block before being cut.
The New York City Police Department announced that around 5 a.m. on May 1, an unidentified man attacked a 45-year-old woman in the Bronx.
Police are currently investigating him on suspicion of rape, but have not been able to trace him yet.

“A report of a sexual assault has been filed in the area of East 152nd Street and Third Avenue within the 40th Precinct,” an NYPD spokesperson confirmed to Fox News Digital. “According to the report, an unknown male followed the 45-year-old female victim and placed a belt around her neck, rendering her unconscious.”
According to police, the man dragged her between two parked cars, sexually assaulted her on the street, and then fled.
The ministry’s Special Victims Unit was investigating, but no arrests had been made as of Friday morning.

The video, which was widely shared online Thursday, shows a masked man sneak up behind the victim, wrap a looped belt around her throat and drag her to the ground.

She appeared to lose consciousness within seconds, her hands falling to her sides from a defensive position as the man dragged her between two parked cars.
This is where the attack is said to have taken place.
Details about the victim’s condition were not immediately available.
