Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) has announced that conservative media personality Clay Travis is on trial this week in New York over allegations of hush-money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels. He accused juror misconduct.
“If you’re a Trump supporter in New York City and you’re a member of the jury pool, if you do everything you can to get a seat on the jury and then refuse to convict on principle, you can get a hung jury. ” Travis. he wrote on social platform X on Monday.. “It’s the most patriotic thing you can do.”
Travis is a commentator and writer for the sports media website OutKick and frequently appears on Fox News and other conservative media outlets.
Swalwell, a Democrat and frequent critic of President Trump, said: created his own post “Jury tampering. That’s what they do. *It’s a felony,” the platform posted alongside a screenshot of Travis’ statement.
The former president is facing 34 counts of falsifying business records for allegedly criminally concealing hush money he paid Daniels in the days before the 2016 presidential election.
Jury selection for the trial began Monday.
