At a rally in Paris on March 16, Rafael Groeksman, a radical left-wing French politician, targeted President Trump when he suggested that our image of freedom would be returned to France as America no longer represents freedom.
“We're going to say to the Americans who fired researchers to demand scientific freedom, and to the Americans who sided with the tyrant, “Give me the Statue of Liberty.” We gave it to you as a gift, but apparently you're lightly spooning it.
Back at her home, White House press chief Caroline Leavitt was asked at a press conference about Glucksmann's comments by Fox News' Peter Doucy, and her reaction was pure gold.

When Doucy asked if President Trump was planning to send Lady Liberty back to France, Leavitt said, “Absolutely not. And my advice to that unknown, low-level French politician is to remind them that France is that America is not speaking German now.”
In response to Leavitt's Spitfire comeback, Pat sings the song of the angels.
“Karoline Leavitt, you shake!” he cried, adding, “It's so nice that curls come out of our hair.”
He says Leavit has been rolling since day one.
He points to her other recent comebacks, during which she placed CNN's Cait Lin Collins in her place on the subject of Biden's Autopen scandal.
When Collins asked a question that seemed to suggest that President Trump had no authority to override Biden's pardon, there may be no evidence that automatic pens were used to sign pardons, Leavitt said:
“The president was begging questions that many of the journalists in this room should ask if they think the former US president would ultimately agree. [knew] About these pardons. Was his legal signature used without his consent or knowledge? ” she said.
“And it's not just the president or me, Caitlin. According to the New York Post, there are Biden officials who raised those questions and wondered whether the president consulted about legally binding signatures being signed on the document, she added.
