Just after midnight, East Hampton town officials received a 911 call reporting a woman found unresponsive on a boat at the Montauk Yacht Club. A passerby attempted CPR before emergency services arrived, but it was confirmed she had passed away.
Witnesses from nearby boats observed a distraught man attempting to seek help, reportedly shouting and throwing items to rouse others on the dock.
Investigation Underway
By 4 AM, detectives from the Suffolk County Murder Squad were tasked with the investigation, which is ongoing. Crime scene investigators meticulously combed the yacht, gathering evidence and taking photographs.
The initial autopsy findings were described as “preliminary” and “inconclusive,” noting a lack of evidence of violence.
Martha Nolan Osratara, known for her social media presence, had been making waves in the fashion industry with her high-end swimwear brand. After earning her degrees in commerce and digital marketing in Dublin, she made her move to New York City when she was 26.
