Sydney Sweeney Shares Her Dating Preferences

Sydney Sweeney recently opened up about what she looks for in a partner during a chat with her “Housemaid” co-star, Amanda Seyfried. The 28-year-old actress is currently exploring a new relationship with music producer Scooter Braun, who is 44, and is re-evaluating her relationship standards.

In their conversation, Seyfried asked Sweeney whether looks matter when dating. Sweeney responded by listing her preferences: “I want a well-groomed man who is, you know, tall and handsome, with beautiful eyes and big arms and hands,” she stated.

However, she quickly emphasized the importance of personality, cutting in with, “But if he doesn’t have a good personality… then he’s not attractive.” Sweeney underscored that a person’s looks alone aren’t enough to sustain a connection. “You could be the sexiest man ever. If you have a sadistic personality, that’s no good,” she remarked.

Seyfried chimed in, saying, “If your ego rules your day… you’re a loser.” Sweeney added a humorous note, saying even less traditionally attractive men could look good with sunglasses if they have great personalities: “Wear sunglasses, and you’re great.”

Before her relationship with Braun, Sweeney had undergone significant changes in her dating life, having ended her engagement to Jonathan Davino in May after three years. Reflecting on this transition, she mentioned, “I’m spending more time with my friends and learning a lot about myself, and I’m loving it,” in a past interview.

Sweeney had previously shared the dynamics of being in a relationship with someone 14 years older, highlighting her independence. “I want to set the record straight,” she explained. “You can have a healthy relationship with someone and be very successful without needing that guy. We’re teammates.”

After calling off her engagement, Sweeney’s relationship history includes links with various high-profile men. More recently, rumors about her dating Scooter Braun began circulating after a wedding in Italy earlier this summer.
