Sidney Sweeney Unveils New Look at ‘Christie’ Screening

Sidney Sweeney made a striking appearance at the AFI screening of ‘Christie’ in Los Angeles on Saturday, showcasing a significant hair transformation.

The 28-year-old actress has cut her long hair and opted for a new, lighter blonde shade. This new color is quite a departure from the darker hue she sported at the British premiere of ‘Christie’ earlier this month.

Her hairstylist, Glen Coco Oropeza, shared insights on the process of achieving this look, which he detailed in an Instagram post. He couldn’t have been more thrilled with the results, stating, “I couldn’t be happier with this dreamy, glossy result.”

Celebrity colorist Jacob Schwartz chimed in as well, referring to the new shade as “bleached suede blonde.”

For the event, Sweeney paired her fresh cut with a pale pink lace dress featuring a plunging neckline and a belted design that beautifully highlighted her waist.

Though her boyfriend, Scooter Braun, wasn’t present at the screening, sources indicated she values his input on her career. “She enjoys having someone to advise her about her career,” a source mentioned earlier this month. It seems she’s enjoying her time with Braun, who is 44, but another source cautioned against rumors of any immediate plans for marriage, emphasizing that her career remains her main focus.

Sweeney is also generating Oscar buzz for her portrayal of boxer Christy Martin in ‘The Christie,’ having physically transformed for the role. She gained 30 pounds of muscle and sported a brown mullet while preparing for the part. Reflecting on her weight gain, she shared, “None of my clothes fit. I usually wear size 23 jeans, but I was wearing size 27.” She noted the changes in her body with a mix of surprise and amusement, saying that even her breasts and butt grew noticeably. “It was crazy! I thought, ‘Oh my god.'”
