A basketball rivalry between New York sections produced one of Hollywood's biggest names.
When the Knicks and Nets played at Barclays Center on Tuesday night, actress Sydney Sweeney sat courtside and watched the entire game.
Wearing a black leather jacket, jeans and black heels, Sweeney was all smiles as he waved to the Brooklyn crowd and seemed to draw loud cheers as he blew a kiss to the arena.
The “Euphoria” actress was seated next to a young girl in a blue Brooklyn sweatshirt, and the two were spotted taking at least one selfie together.
Sweeney, 27, was watching a basketball game just hours after he was photographed outside in midtown Manhattan amid subzero temperatures that blanketed the Northeast.
NBA fans on social media were outraged by the celebrity sighting.
“Oh, boy…a career high is going to be set.” Former NFL player Chris Manno wrote about X.
“Cam Thomas would have had 50 tonight. I remember at the Lakers game in Los Angeles he had Eileen Gou watch it and he brought Tate McRae and Olivia Rodrigo courtside. I wonder?” one fan wrote:.
“OG might score 70 points tonight.” another person chimed.

One fan was confident he could make a good impression on the “Anyone But You” star.
“If Shibs lets me into the game, I'm going to drop at least 50 bombs in my life.” they wrote.
One fan, apparently hoping for a chance to acquire a high-lottery draft pick, was annoyed that the Nets were cozying up to the Knicks.
“They looked at Sidney Sweeney's side of the court and decided to blow up the tank.” they added.
The Knicks survived and defeated the struggling Nets 99-95.
As for Sweeney, she's from Spokane, Washington, so it's unlikely she had a vested interest in either team winning, but she blew up NBA social media that night.
