Bezos Wedding Celebrated in Venice with Notable Guests

Last week, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez Bezos enjoyed a lavish three-day wedding in Venice, Italy. Interestingly, actress Sidney Sweeney’s attendance caught a lot of online attention.

Some celebrity guests at the event had been longstanding friends of Lauren, such as Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner, who even joined in on her bachelorette party back in May. However, the connection between Sweeney and the couple was a bit unclear.

According to reports, Sweeney’s appearance might have been work-related. Sources mentioned that she is not personally friends with the couple but, perhaps out of respect for the business dynamic, she attended the wedding. It seems like a nod to the old Hollywood culture of acknowledging the “boss” in the industry.

In March, Sweeney signed on to be both star and executive producer for a film titled “Split Fiction,” produced by Amazon MGM Studios. This project may explain her connection to Bezos, as Variety reported in June that it is inspired by a popular video game.

While reps for Sweeney, the Bezos couple, and Amazon MGM didn’t comment immediately, fans had mixed reactions to her involvement in the wedding festivities. Some expressed disappointment on social media, questioning if she was merely filling a celebrity seat, while others joked about the logic of inviting her, given Bezos’ stature.

During her three-day stay in Venice, Sweeney was seen at various events. She was photographed in a stylish black dress prior to the wedding ceremony on June 27th, and later donned a stunning strapless pink gown for the important occasion.

The day after the wedding, she attended another gathering at Harry’s Bar alongside wedding guests, including model Karlie Kloss, dressed more casually.

The wedding itself attracted numerous high-profile attendees, ranging from Leonardo DiCaprio to Oprah Winfrey, along with many members of the Kardashian-Jenner family. It was certainly a notable event filled with star power.
