Sylvester Stallone has scrapped his original plan to build an underwater barrier near his Palm Beach home.
Stallone made the plea Thursday at a City Council meeting in Palm Beach after angering several neighbors in the wealthy waterfront community.
Stallone has previously expressed concerns about marine life and water quality on the Palm Beach coast near his $35 million mansion.

“When you go out into the Channel and a big ship comes, you have to get out of the way right away,” the former US Army major general argued at the council, explaining how the barrier poses a security problem. .

Board of Trustees Chairman Bobby Lindsay jokingly told Stallone, “It's hard being this famous.”

The talks ended with Stallone agreeing to withdraw the application.

Total living space is over 13,000 square feet, including the main house, guesthouse, and pool pavilion near the front-back circular pool in the backyard. Between the main and guest spaces are seven bedrooms and 12 bathrooms.
