In overtime, kicker Zane Gonzalez sealed the game for Washington with a 37-yard field goal.
This year, the Buccaneers are determined to avoid a repeat of that situation. They’ve strengthened their offense by drafting Ohio wide receiver Emeka Egbuka and re-signing standout Chris Godwin. On the defensive front, coach Todd Bowles has brought in linebacker Haason Reddick, looking to bounce back from a challenging 2024 season with the Jets.
With Baker Mayfield, Bucky Irving, and Mike Evans back in play, there’s a sense that they might really make an impact this season. As the schedule for 2025 unfolds, it’s clear who the Bucs are up against.
