Security Breach at Tarek and Heather El Moussa’s Home
Tarek and Heather El Moussa recently expressed feeling “violated” after their Southern California residence was broken into while they were on vacation.
This incident occurred at their Newport Beach home earlier this week, specifically while Heather was away in Mexico with her family.
Authorities confirmed to news outlets that they responded to a report of a residential burglary in the Mariners Community area on June 8, shortly after 6 p.m.
“Unknown suspects accessed the backyard, broke the sliding glass door at the rear, and entered the home,” officials stated.
They further detailed that the culprits ransacked the master bedroom closet before escaping through the backyard and into the front yard.
It was reported that jewelry was taken during the break-in.
The police suspect the invasion happened sometime between the early hours of June 6 and June 8. As of now, no suspects have been identified.
Representatives for the couple did not respond immediately to requests for comment.
After the event, both Tarek and Heather took to social media to share their reactions.
Heather mentioned her frustration, stating, “I’m tired of some cruel and heartless people in this world,” tagging Tarek in her Instagram Story.
She continued, “Both Tarek and I feel violated and it’s honestly very sad. I’m taking a few days off, but I’ll be right back to explain.” Fortunately, she reassured fans, saying, “We are safe and our children are safe.”
Earlier this year, the couple welcomed their son, Tristan, in January 2023. Tarek, previously married to another HGTV star, Christina Haack, finalized their divorce in 2018 after seven years of marriage.
They co-parent their daughter Taylor and son Brayden, and have continued to work together on projects like HGTV’s “The Flip Off.”
