Taryn Manning captured on video confronting her girlfriend, addresses it on Instagram

Taryn Manning recently found herself in a dramatic altercation with her long-term girlfriend, Holly Hartman. A video clip surfaced, revealing Manning, 47, in a heated exchange with Hartman in Palm Springs, California, where she reportedly both yelled and physically confronted her. “Look what you did to my studio!” she exclaimed, even threatening to involve the police. Hartman, unfazed, responded, “Please call the police. I’ll show them you attacked me.”

At one point in the argument, Manning accused Hartman of squatting in her studio, insisting that law enforcement should see what had transpired. Tensions escalated as Manning seemed to kick something toward Hartman and lunged at her, leading Hartman to sarcastically remark, “Oh, be violent,” to which Manning reacted with erratic laughter.

Manning’s representatives did not respond promptly to requests for comments. On Tuesday, Manning took to Instagram to address the incident. “I don’t want to see it because I don’t want to upset myself. Violence is never good,” she said. She added that there was more to the story that hadn’t been reported, mentioning prior acts against her, including vandalism to her car by someone she implied was Hartman. “This is the most aggressive and violent attack,” she said.

She emphasized that Hartman has been living in her office due to homelessness, stating, “I’ve been trying to help for a long time, 18 years.” Manning also recounted another incident where someone allegedly “beat” her last week, resulting in a lost tooth. “I’m just sad. I’m frustrated with her,” she expressed, questioning why she should tolerate someone who is not family or a long-term partner. Manning described Hartman in a subsequent video as a “bona fide criminal,” and expressed genuine sorrow over the state of their relationship.

Both Manning and Hartman have a history marked by claims of violent interactions. In a notable past incident in 2016, Hartman even sought a restraining order against Manning, citing physical altercations where she alleged that Manning headbutted, whipped, and even tried to suffocate her.

Further complicating matters, there were reports that Manning was arrested four years ago for assaulting Hartman, with accusations ranging from slapping and kicking to hair-pulling and choking. Although she faced misdemeanor charges, they were eventually dropped.
