Grammy-nominated artist Tauren Wells said the debate over Harrison Butker’s beliefs makes it clear that in a world that preaches tolerance, conservative views are often the only ones rejected. Wells made the comments last week ahead of the K-Love Fan Awards, and elaborated on Instagram. post Since mid-May, he has declared that “we must be tolerant of all viewpoints except conservative ones.”
Wells’ post came shortly after the Kansas City Chiefs kicker defended traditional gender roles during a commencement speech at a Catholic university, where he faced backlash from across society.
“Harrison Butker’s speech kind of created a cultural moment that was already simmering beneath the surface,” Wells told Crosswalk Headlines.
