Taylor Frankie Paul Opens Up About ‘The Bachelorette’ Experience
Reality TV personality Taylor Frankie Paul is set to star in the upcoming season of “The Bachelorette.” Recently, he discussed how he navigates the fantasy suite aspect of the show, especially given his ties to the Latter-day Saint Church. Paul will have the chance to spend the night with three contestants before choosing his final two. He noted that forming physical connections with potential partners is quite significant for him.
“It’s amusing because my mom is here, and I told her, ‘You need to test the car beforehand,'” Paul mentioned during a podcast episode about whether he would use the fantasy suite. However, he also expressed skepticism about developing close relationships with multiple contestants.
Reflecting on his experiences, Paul remarked, “…That’s confusing for me… I see the game ahead, but in that scenario… it feels disrespectful in a way to focus on more than two.” He compared his situation to that of former “Bachelorette” star Joey Graziadey, who didn’t disclose personal details about his time in the fantasy suite.
“They never talked about it. And sure, he chose Kelsey, but I was curious—did he sleep with just one, or more? I needed to know, but he kept it private. I respect that, perhaps he didn’t want his intimate life broadcast for all to see.”
Paul, while explaining his background, described how discussing sex was usually a taboo topic growing up in the Mormon Church. “If I’m engaging in it, I’m keeping it to myself. I don’t share with my parents; it just feels… I guess there’s some shame attached. It’s a secret, really.” Yet, he feels he has moved past that guilt now.
“I think it’s ingrained in us from an early age, but it’s not solely anyone’s fault. My parents, and many in our church, share similar feelings about the taboo nature of it. There’s a comfort that some still struggle with,” he shared with podcast host Alex Cooper. “It’s personal for everyone, and I think moving forward, I don’t want to discuss my sex life publicly. I’ve experienced it, and now I want to carry that forward in a way that feels personal with whoever I meet next.”
Paul first rose to prominence on TikTok, creating a community called “Momtok.” He later attracted attention when he announced the end of his marriage, which was related to his “soft swing” lifestyle within the Utah Mormon community. By 2024, Paul and other women from “Momtok” secured an unscripted series on Hulu, with the third season of “The Secret Life of a Mormon Wife” set to debut this fall.
