“This culture is going to be incredible. You guys are going to win games,” Lewan said in the video. “Those tough one-score games, you're going to win. That's what Mike Vrabel does. That guy's going to make sure the team knows the ins and outs.”

In a message to his players, he told them they needed to “keep their heads spinning” due to the difficulties Vrabel would throw at them.

“You have to understand that it's going to be really tough for a while,” Lewan said. “And you'll be fine. But just know, you're going to go through hell for a little while. We're going to sit in the locker room and we're going to break up into little groups and say, 'Who is this guy? ” “Why does he talk to us like this?” “Who does he think he is?” Yeah, he was playing in the league, whatever. By the way, at that first team meeting, he will be talking about how many years he has played in the league. And he will continue to refer to it forever.

“It's not a bad thing, guys. I'm telling you, it's going to work out. I was one of them, too. When I was in a little little group, you start to walk away from it and think, “Oh, this guy is his own. “I know what you're talking about.” But keep your buttholes tight in the team meeting room. You have to keep your butthole tight. Because he made the men stand up and said, 'Who is this man? Who is that person? ”

Vrabel was hired as head coach after the team fired Jared Mayo after just one season with a 4-13 record.
