Taylor Sheridan Expands Influence

Taylor Sheridan’s career is really taking off. He’s the mastermind behind the entire “Yellowstone” universe, which has become a massive hit for the Paramount Network. For five seasons, the series featuring Kevin Costner has dominated the television landscape, leading to several prequels and spin-offs.

But Sheridan’s achievements aren’t limited to this neo-Western. He’s also been behind other successful projects like “Sicario,” “Wind River,” “Lioness,” and “Landman,” just to name a few.

Taylor Sheridan Expands Footprint in Las Vegas

It’s interesting to see how Sheridan’s influence stretches beyond just entertainment. Perhaps it’s a natural progression for someone who has gained so much recognition. The MGM Grand in Las Vegas recently announced plans to open the Four Sixes Ranch Steakhouse in 2027.

This restaurant promises “signature cuts sourced directly from Four Sixes Ranch and bold flavors rooted in authentic Texas cuisine,” as noted in their announcement. The 6666 ranch, by the way, is quite expansive—around 260,000 acres—where they raise Angus cattle.

What’s also appealing is that the steakhouse will feature “digital walls showcasing custom footage from Sheridan,” connecting diners to the landscapes and spirit of the American West. It feels like that’s exactly the kind of atmosphere the restaurant aims to create. This isn’t Sheridan’s first venture in Las Vegas; he had a pop-up restaurant at the Wynn previously.

This move highlights how Sheridan’s influence extends far beyond the screen. With his reported NBCUniversal deal being worth over $1 billion, one has to wonder how he’ll channel that success next. He might even expand his already significant land holdings, which are among the largest worldwide.

What do you think about Sheridan’s growing empire? And, by the way, what’s your favorite aspect of Las Vegas?
