Looks like the showgirls are making the most of their time out!
Sabrina Carpenter, who opened for Taylor Swift on her Ellas tour, enjoyed a delightful girls’ night in New York City on Friday, topping it off with a fancy dinner at a popular Soho restaurant.
Carpenter, fresh off earning six Grammy nominations for her latest project “Man’s Best Friend,” seemed to create a vibrant atmosphere, especially after Swift had been out with her fiancé, Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs. It’s kind of interesting to see these crossover friendships, isn’t it?
The duo, famous for collaborating on the title track of Swift’s most recent album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” which just came out last month, was seen arriving at The Corner Store, where a bone-in New York strip costs about $80.
Dressed to impress, Swift, towering in her striking red platform heels, certainly turned heads, especially compared to Carpenter, who’s notably petite at 5 feet tall. Swift’s look included a brown pleated sweater and a navy vest, finished with a miniskirt. She accessorized her outfit with a chic brown handbag, gold jewelry, and her signature red lipstick. Meanwhile, Carpenter opted for a more understated beige trench coat paired with smaller heels and a classy black Chanel bag.
On Friday, after Carpenter secured her Grammy wins—including best record and album, as well as best music video—the energy in the streets felt electric. It’s quite a feat to win six Grammy nominations, which is something to celebrate!
Though Swift, at 35, is missing out on the 2026 Grammy Awards due to eligibility issues for her latest album, it’s set for performance in 2027, which, I suppose, leaves time for anticipation.
Carpenter and Swift have built a close friendship since the former opened for Swift’s chart-topping tour from August 2023 to March 2024. It’s sweet to hear that Carpenter considers Swift one of her best friends, especially given her long-time admiration for the Grammy-winning superstar.
Just days before this outing, Swift had spent some quality time with Kelce, making the rounds in the Big Apple. They were seen leaving the exclusive Zero Bond and then enjoying a cozy dinner at Polo Bar, which seems like a perfect way to unwind after such a busy schedule!
