Taylor Swift and Haim Sisters Celebrate Knicks’ Upset Victory
Taylor Swift, along with Este and Alana Haim, hosted a dance party following an incredible upset victory by the Knicks over the Spurs in Game 4 of the NBA Finals. This dramatic game, held on Wednesday night, marked a historic moment in NBA history.
The three of them, full of enthusiasm, were spotted in Celebrity Row at Madison Square Garden, dancing along with Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.” A video on social media captured the sisters enjoying the moment, with a caption that cleverly read, “Girls just want to make puns,” alongside a Knicks-themed shirt featuring a witty play on words.
Swift sported a shirt that read “Stevie Nicks,” a tribute to her long-time friend and iconic singer. Meanwhile, Alana wore a shirt that playfully displayed “Nickelback,” giving a nod to the famous Canadian rock band. Este’s shirt read “Nicole Kidman,” named after the renowned actress.
They were not alone—actress Mariska Hargitay, who is friends with Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson, was also present and wore a “Stevie Nicks” shirt. Throughout the game, Swift and her friends were energetic, cheering and dancing as the Knicks pulled off an astonishing comeback from a 29-point deficit to win 107-106.
After the final buzzer, the trio was seen jumping in excitement in the back hallway of Madison Square Garden, mingling with the Knicks’ entertainment team. There was even a lively buzz as fans attempted to capture selfies and videos, only to be gently ushered away by security.
In a heartwarming moment, Swift, who had celebrated her wedding with NFL tight end Travis Kelce at the same venue in July, waved towels and joined the celebration fervently.
According to reports, this victory set a record for the biggest upset in NBA Finals history. OG Anunoby, whose crucial rebound from Brunson’s long three-pointer with just 1.2 seconds left clinched the win, shared his thoughts post-game: “It was amazing. Everyone was pretty excited. I’m excited too… I’m just looking forward to the next game.”
Looking ahead, Game 5 is set to be played Saturday night in San Antonio. If the Knicks succeed, they’ll be one step closer to their first NBA championship in over half a century.
