Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce feared he would drop her on stage during Eras Tour debut

Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce appeared on stage at Taylor Swift's Eraser Tour in London in June, her international pop tour. Kelce appeared onstage in a top hat and black suit and tails. In a skit, Kelce took an apparently unconscious Swift in his arms and slumped her down on a red couch.

But Kelsey admitted she was terrified she would drop her boyfriend of about a year during the performance.

“When I was holding her on stage, I didn't want to drop her,” Kelsey said during an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show on Tuesday. “That was probably the most embarrassing thing I've ever done, so carrying her to the coach was the hardest part.”

According to Swift, she was hesitant to even let Kelsey carry the car to the bus. When asked if Swift ever expressed any hesitation about her confidence in completing the task, Kelsey replied, “Absolutely.”

“There was definitely that extra worry of, 'Do I really want to do this?'” Kelsey said.

However, Swift took steps to minimize Kelsey's role to avoid any serious mistakes.

“Taylor knew I was going to have fun once the lights were on and she positioned me in a way that I didn't have to try too hard to be successful. She made me feel really comfortable on the show,” Kelsey added.

Kelsey has already shown plenty of vulnerability during Swift's concert tour this year: During a July performance in Amsterdam, she was spotted in a suite with Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, where she was seen wiping away tears while playing a piano mashup of songs that fans believed were dedicated to her.

So far, their relationship has largely depended on Swift being at Kelsey's workplace.

Swift attended several Chiefs games last season, including a playoff game on the road in Kansas City and the Super Bowl in Las Vegas.

“I don't know how they know what suite I'm in,” she said of the game's cameramen. “The cameras are like a half-mile away, and I don't know where they are, and I don't know when they're going to be on the broadcast, so I don't know if I'm on inning 17 or inning 1.”

Swift added, “I'm just here to support Travis and I'm not at all conscious of whether I'm exposing myself too much and upsetting dads like Brad and Chad.”
