Ahead of the awards ceremony, Swift changed her Instagram profile photo to a black and white version, potentially giving fans a hint of what’s to come. The “Midnight” singer is known for handing out “Easter eggs” that hint at things to come for fans to decipher.
“When I was 15 years old and creating my first album, I decided to use capital letters to encode lyrics that contained hidden messages,” Swift previously told The Washington Post. “That was the beginning, and since then my fans and I have progressed to color coding, numerology, word searches, elaborate clues, and Easter eggs.”

“I think the best messages are the cryptic ones,” Swift told Entertainment Weekly. “Easter eggs can be left on clothing or jewelry. This is one of my favorite ways to do this, because wearing something that foreshadows something else. Usually people don’t spot this right away, but they probably know you’re sending a message.”
