Taylor Swift Shines at Toy Story 5 Premiere

Taylor Swift brought a touch of brightness to the Toy Story 5 premiere in Los Angeles. She surprised attendees with a performance alongside Randy Newman at the Dolby Theater on Tuesday night, presenting a delightful shift from the usual red carpet fare.

At 36, Swift emerged in a stunning yellow Oscar de la Renta gown priced at $8,990, adorned with an array of floral appliqués.

Her performance attire, a yellow floral creation, complemented her jewelry, which featured semi-precious stones that mirrored the dress’s vibrant colors. Swift opted for a low braid but maintained her classic red lipstick for the on-stage appearance.

During the event, she debuted her new song “I Knew It, I Knew You” for the film’s soundtrack, performing alongside Newman who played the piano. The moment felt special, as she noted on Instagram, “Writing this song felt like a musical departure and coming home at the same time… Creating something for Jesse was a new challenge, but it also felt like second nature.”

A few hours prior, Swift had also dazzled on the red carpet in an Erdem patchwork minidress with a striking corseted top and sculptural skirt. For a whimsical touch, rather than carrying a traditional bag, she brought along her own 1995 “Toy Story” VHS tape, getting it signed by Tom Hanks and Tim Allen.

Swift’s floral-themed performance design echoed the lyrical imagery of her song, which opens with “Through the slumber of summer blades of grass I knew you.” Her style choices and heartfelt presentation encapsulated the nostalgic vibe of the beloved franchise.
