This afternoon, Selena Gomez posted a video from her wedding day, showing Taylor Swift in high spirits as she captured a mirror selfie with the bride after walking down the aisle to marry music producer Benny Blanco.
Swift sat next to Gomez at the Santa Barbara venue, dazzling in a stunning amber cocktail dress by Oscar de La Renta, adorned with sequins, floral appliques, and feather embroidery.
She had planned to release her much-anticipated 12th album, *The Life of a Showgirl*, on October 3rd but flew to California to support Gomez.
Gomez expressed her sentiments on Instagram, saying, “In honor of the showgirl… I am blessed to have you by my side in almost 20 years. I love you forever and always.”
Before the ceremony, the duo celebrated in the glam room, sharing a toast with straws.
Interestingly, Swift’s fiancé, Travis Kelce, was back in Kansas City, focusing on a big game against the Baltimore Ravens scheduled for the next day. They actually won, just FYI.
Both Gomez, 33, and Swift, 35, have held a friendship for more than 15 years, maintaining their close connection despite the hurdles of their busy careers.
In 2008, they first bonded while watching the Jonas Brothers. Selena had a two-year relationship with Nick, while Taylor briefly dated Joe. Those romantic ties didn’t last, but their friendship has certainly stood the test of time.
They’ve always supported each other through birthdays and career milestones. When Gomez announced her engagement on Instagram last December, Swift enthusiastically replied, “Yes, I’ll be a Flower Girl.”
Regardless of the circumstances in which they find themselves, it’s evident that their connection is genuine.
With Swift’s wedding plans seemingly in the works and her highly anticipated album release approaching, it seems there’s much to look forward to for fans of both superstars.
