Swift Celebrates at Knicks Game
“Welcome to New York,” indeed, Ms. Swift.
Following a thrilling come-from-behind 107-106 victory for the Knicks in Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday night, Taylor Swift shared in the excitement of the crowd at Madison Square Garden. She was even seen celebrating in a spontaneous moment at the back of the arena.
The singer was spotted getting up from her courtside seat, dancing and raising her arms high. In the video footage, she was enjoying the win alongside friends Este and Alana Haim and the Knicks’ 7th Avenue Hype Team. You can hear Swift asking one of the Haim sisters, “What is life?” as she made her way out of the venue.
Swift wasn’t the only star in attendance that night.
The iconic venue witnessed an incredible comeback as the Knicks clawed back from a 29-point deficit. OG Anunoby sealed the win with a tip-in just as the clock hit 1.2 seconds.
For the occasion, Swift and the Haim sisters donned blue T-shirts with orange phrases referencing Knicks slogans. Swift’s shirt playfully read “Stevie Nicks.”
Reports suggest that Swift has a deep appreciation for the Knicks and genuinely wants to support the team. This isn’t her first playoff appearance; she attended Game 3 against the Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals with her fiancé, Travis Kelce.
Interestingly, Swift is scheduled to return to Madison Square Garden soon—she’s set to marry Kelce there during the weekend of July 3rd. This wedding will undoubtedly add to an already bustling summer for New York, which is also hosting the World Cup at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
